Keepin’ busy…

Howdy all!

It’s always fun to get to do a nice story in espnW on good people doing big things. Michigander Jordyn Wieber is shooting for the 2012 London Olympics, and her shooting-star trajectory appears on pace for some medals.

And my blogging is back in the NY Times, on whatever’s up in the sports world. Right now, the Detroit Tigers are looming large.

Can somebody please turn on the heat?

Seriously. I can’t deal with sub-zero temperatures. Being cold all the way to the insides of your skull is no way to live. C’mon spring!!!!!!

I’ve been really busy, and wanted to share some the newer stuff:

– For Fox Sports Detroit, a column on Pistons rookie center Greg Monroe.

– For the U.S. Olympic Committee’s official site, teamusa.org, a story on Olympic medal winning speedskater Brian Hansen juggling college and training.

– My children’s books on the Tiger and Blue Jays are doing quite well. They’re available at Amazon.com, through ABDO publishing and other places. If you want me to personalize a book, shoot me an email. It’s been a thrill seeing kids reading and loving the book. Whoo hooo!

be good and think about whacking tennis balls in the warm sun of the spring soon…
